Writing Web Content for Profit

3 Reasons It's Easy to Become a Web Content Writer

Writing web content is one of the easiest ways to make money online. Why?

1.) Writers are in high demand. If you know where to look, native English speakers who can follow simple instructions can easily start out at ten bucks an article. In six months or less, you should be able to raise your rate to fifteen dollars or more. And with just a little practice, you'll be able to write an article every 20 or 30 minutes--how does $30-$45 per hour sound?

The Internet marketing crowd is the core market that's looking for writing services. 99% of their business models require constant, fresh content for their web sites. And most of them have learned their lesson from outsourcing to India for five bucks an article.

You do need to be able to write like you talk (forget your English classes as they likely did more harm than good in this department!). Aside from that, all you'll need is a good attitude and the ability to set and meet deadlines.

(Clients will take a solid writer who is easy to work with over a difficult-but-brilliant writer any day. Keep a good attitude and don't get flowery with your writing, and you'll be good as gold.)

2.) Content writing is a sustainable business. Unless every English-speaking nation on the planet suddenly gives up capitalism, you are assured web-writing work for as long as you want it. Why?

The short answer is that the web isn't going away any time soon! The long answer is that more and more people are doing their shopping and socializing on the web as time goes on. And this trend isn't likely to reverse itself.

Simply put, more and more commerce is moving from the offline world to the online world. Even the present online economy can support more good writers than it currently has. What's even better is that it will only need more writers in the future!

3.) You don't even need to know how to make a website--or anything else technical. You don't need to be able to program a computer to advertise yourself online. In fact, you don't even need to know basic HTML! There are several FREE online services you can use to create an online web presence that shows your writing abilities.

Sites like Squidoo, Blogger, and Facebook offer no-cost, cut-and-past ways for you to network and advertise your services. You don't need any special skills to use them--if you can use Microsoft Word, you can build a page at any or all of these sites.

If you decide you want your own .com (and eventually, you will), you'll pay about nine bucks a year for the name and seven dollars a month for hosting.

Sites like Hostgator.com come complete with several different programs that let you easily build a templated website in an afternoon--without any technical knowledge at all. The only things you really need to learn are how to market yourself, and where to find clients.

Legit Online Jobs - Just a Click away!

It frustrates me when I see people get fooled by get-rich-quick
scheme websites on the Internet. And believe me, there are tons
of them out there, waiting to snatch some victims.

What about you, Friend?

Are you one of the victims? Are you giving up your financial
freedom?

Please don't.

Allow me to share with you some important truths that are
essential to your internet success (and possibly to your
mental well-being!).

Don't go chasing every internet marketing rabbit trail.

The internet is literally so big, and there are so many
marketers trying to make a quick buck from YOU, that you
could spend ALL day, every day just chasing illusions of
internet riches.

If you only chase after those hyped up illusions every day,
then you will NEVER find what you're looking for.

There does come a point where you have to take a small leap
of faith and "try" something. In other words, you will have
to do some work.

The problem is, whose method should you try? After all, your
time is valuable and you don't want to waste it on hype.

The best advice I can give you is to find someone who has done
it already, and do what they do. I'm not talking about someone
who "says" they know some secret method. I'm talking about
someone who IS making money.

That person could be me, or it could be another internet
marketer that you've grown to trust. The bottom line is,
there's just too much crap out there for anyone to find
the right way on their own. It took me years to find the
right way, and today there's exponentially more hype and
junk on the internet than when I started.

If I had to do it all over again today, starting with zero
knowledge, I'd be totally lost.

Thankfully, there's a simple program that's going to save
your time and money.

It's called “Legit Online Jobs.”

Legit Online Jobs” has been in business since January 2005.
HonestEonline.com, Trust-Guard.com and Truste.org have
*PERSONALLY* reviewed this program and said it is not
hype - it’s the real deal.

Finally! :)

Please, don't waste your time on programs that don't work
for you. There are so many opportunities out there that
there's no need for you to waste your time on the ones
that aren't working.

I hope that this advice will put you into the right frame
of mind as you read this post.

Have a great day!

The Best Work from Home Programs In a Nutshell

Hello all! I have been absent for quite some time now and I apologize for not posting sooner. Things have been crazy busy. So I will try to make up for it by making this post a long one.

Since beginning this blog last winter, I have built and monetized several blogs and I've been blogging professionally now for about six months. It has been the greatest personal challenge and creative outlet for me. I have learned quite a few things and I know I have plenty more to learn. I want to keep doing this professionally for years to come. Let me share with you some of the people and products that have re-shaped my world and my thinking.

First, if you are interested in blogging as a career, I recommend investing in Yaro Starak's Blog Mastermind program. It rocks! It presents for you the fastest way to begin making a good income from blogging. In addition to the program, you also get access to the forum where you can pick the brains of other like-minded individuals. Yaro's story is truly amazing and he gives details of how is is able to now earn over $10,000 per month while only working a couple of hours a day.

For more information on Yaro's program, go to

Another fabulous resource, is Andrew Hanson's blogging software, Firepow. Basically
Firepow is a blogging software but with a whole lot of features
stacked on top of it... features that seem to make it a pretty darn interesting little (or big) tool. It's based on wordpress, and begins by installing you a nice wp blog - REALLY nice - you can create your own blog theme from scratch if you want, with the advanced theme generator and then select from a list of all the plugins under the sun, to have installed and activated on your blog with no further action from you.

Then you can go about adding your content - you can set the content to appear on schedules, including into the future, plus you can take advantage of other people's content via various means.

Anyway after your blog is looking good with all the cool content, Firepow helps you generate traffic and promote your site around the web. One tactic I've seen is the promotion of your site through an in house network of blogs owned by Andrew which you can use to obtain links and a few extra visitors.

There's also social bookmarking and rss feed promotion that makes these tasks much faster.

Finally Firepow apparently lets you manage your sites too. You can view and make changes to your multiple sites from the one control panel, as well as monitor certain aspects of them.

One plugin we saw released was one that allows a user to split test variations of posts you make to see what generates the most click throughs. That alone makes this product exciting for me.

Oh, and did I mention you get 10 domains hosted for FREE with Firepow???

If you want to check out more of Firepow for yourself, click here.

Well, these are just two of the products that have been keeping me busy as of late. At the current rate I am going, my goal is to create a new blog every two weeks. Even just using my 10 with Firepow, at an earnings average of $200 per month per blog, that's $24,000 just from blogging an hour or so a day.

So if blogging for profit is something that interests you, please check these products out. You will not be sorry!

What About Medical Transcription?

I see a lot of ads from online training programs lately regarding medical transcription as a viable work from home option. I have checked this out and this is what I have found.

First, a potential MT needs to have good English and grammar skills. This is not usually something that the MT schools teach but they may have a refresher on the basics.

Second, you must be familiar with a computer and have reasonable typing skills. Speed can be gained with practice, but if you can already type you'll be ahead of the game.

Third, you must enjoy learning. MTs are constantly learning, even once they start working. New drugs, new doctors, different specialties, etc. keeps you hopping.

And last, you must have a quiet work environment. None of this "work with baby on your lap" business. Work when someone else can watch the kids. Understanding physicians as they mumble and sputter is hard enough, but try doing it with a house full of screaming kids! No way.

Time to complete courses are usually short (less than 6 months) and financial aid is offered at many.

Job opportunities exist at home as well as with doctor offices and hospitals.

Companies Now Hiring Researchers!

I have found these companies are currently hiring researchers to perform local courthouse records search and data entry. Some of them hire for other positions as well. These aren't full time jobs but you can make a few extra hundred dollars or so every month.

Jellybean Services

Deed Collector

Sunlark Research

Follow the directions to apply on these sites. They ask that you specify which counties you can research. Obviously, the more counties you can research, there more income you can make.

Happy job hunting!

A Look at Mystery Shopping

I have seen a lot of ads online regarding becoming a mystery shopper. These ads all seem to imply that you can go out into your city, eat at fabulous restaurants, buy designer clothes, and make a living doing it. I am here to tell you that is false. I am sorry, I hope I did not burst anyone's bubble or shatter a dream but I have been a mystery shopper before (and occasionally I still MS for "fun" money) and it ain't the truth. Here is the low down.

In my case, I went to the Mystery Shopping Provider's Association website and registered. I took the examination to get get Bronze level certification in order to bolster my credibility, but this is an optional step. Within minutes of doing this, I had offers in my inbox to do local shops. I did a block of three for one company and earned $45 for less than 2 hours of "work". Not bad.

However, it should be noted, it is not always that easy. It pays to really read through the job description and see what the company is asking of you. Some companies will reimburse you for your purchases (if any) and some will not. Some have a cap of how much they will reimburse. Also, make sure they are paying enough to make it worth your time. If you have to drive all the way across town and wait in line fifteen minutes at a fast food place and your only compensation is a free meal, is it really worth it to you? That is for you to decide.

It should be noted as well that the only other offers I received after that for the next couple months were $5 and less for doing little things around town. It takes time to build your business as a shopper. Also, if your town is small you might not be able to do as many shops because eventually the businesses will catch onto you and blow your cover.

All in all, mystery shopping can be a fun way to earn some extra cash. Just make sure you research the companies carefully and know what they are expecting before you accept a job. It will save everyone involved a lot of hassle. Check out the MSPA site for more information.

Also, it goes without saying, DO NOT PAY to get jobs. The certification I mentioned earlier was optional. I took it to be a certified provider on the MSPA site, not to get jobs. And they are the only institution that can certify you, regardless of what other companies may claim. Just a head's up.
